Harry’s at Hofheimer, a speakeasy-inspired restaurant, is opening at the Hofheimer Building in Scott’s Addition.

And you’ll need a password to get in. Harry’s will have a selfie mirror that provides each guest with a unique password for entry to the restaurant. Once inside, Harry’s will have a “focus on historically inspired craft cocktails and innovative modern American cuisine,” according to a news release. Visitors will find several portraits of famous Harrys, from Debbie Harry to Harry Styles.

At Harry’s at the Hofheimer, visitors will find several portraits of famous Harrys from Debbie Harry to Harry Styles. The menu will feature a mix of small plates, entrees, and share boards, such as frites and dips ($9), tuna tartare ($16), and beef empanadas ($9). Harry’s worked with local cocktail consultant Beth Dixon of Salt + Acid on the cocktail program, which will focus on classic cocktails such as the Old Fashioned ($11), creations like Heart of Glass ($13) and Harry’s 28 ($13), a fresh take on the French 75.

Harry’s at the Hofheimer is the creation of local entrepreneur Natalie McNamara and real estate developer Carter Snipes. McNamara is the founder of CreativeMktGroup; Snipes has owned the Hofheimer Building since 2015 and is the co-founder of Brambly Park Winery. The name draws its inspiration from two Harrys of the 1920s, both mixologists: Harry Craddock, the mixologist of The Savoy Hotel in London, and Harry MacElhone, the author of “Harry’s ABC of Mixing Cocktails,” McNamara said.

Harry’s will be located on the first floor of the Hofheimer Building. “Scott’s Addition is known for its vibrant nightlife, and we aim to provide a space where guests can dress up with friends, savor cocktails, and enjoy tasteful food,” McNamara said in a statement. The opening of Harry’s at Hofheimer kicks off a renovation plan for the 95-year-old building that includes a complete transformation of the rooftop bar and a revitalized event space on the second floor. “Giving the first floor a restaurant gives the entire building a face-lift,” McNamara said. “I’m extremely happy to see this new chapter of the building unfold.”

A mezzanine in Harry’s that overlooks the bar area will be available to book for large groups over 20. McNamara said that she envisions Harry’s as a place where guests can pop in for a great cocktail and a casual bite to eat on a night out or on the way to the event space for a wedding. “Entertainment and hospitality was the catalyst for this area eight years ago, and it will continue to be a major draw as more people move here,” Snipes said in a statement.

Harry’s at Hofheimer is located at 2818 W. Broad St. Hours will be 4 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 4 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
